Match-Ready Sample: A Free, Labeled Dataset for Your Domain

Last updated: 2026-08-07

The Match-Ready Sample is a free, domain-shaped Labeled Ground-Truth Dataset with a Known-Duplicate Pair File built in, delivered within 3 business days of your request. No call required: fill out the form and it arrives in your inbox. Every dataset in it is synthetic, with no real PII involved. Use it to see whether your domain's duplicates look the way your current match rules assume they look.

The Match-Ready Sample is a free look at what your domain's duplicates actually look like, no call and no purchase required. It's built for the analyst running point on match rules day to day, the governance lead deciding whether a formal Audit or Match Rule Validation is worth booking, and the vendor SE who needs believable test data for a POC. Request it, review it against your own rules, and decide from there.

This page covers what the Sample contains, how it is delivered, and how the data is handled. It does not cover Audit or Match Rule Validation scope or amounts; those live on the pricing page and on each offer's own page.

Delivery: within 3 business days. No call required.

We collect this information to prepare and deliver your Match-Ready Sample and to follow up about your MDM go-live work. It is visible only to our staff and is never included in any public or unauthenticated response.

A Labeled Ground-Truth Dataset shaped to your domain: master data with known fuzzy duplicates, the typos, nicknames, and address drift your entities actually produce. Alongside it, a Known-Duplicate Pair File, the answer key that tells you which records are supposed to match. Run your current rules against both and see what they catch and what they miss.

The Known-Duplicate Pair File is what makes the exercise measurable rather than impressionistic. Because it states which record pairs are true duplicates, a run of your rules against the dataset sorts cleanly into true positives, false positives, and false negatives, which are counts you can total rather than estimate.

The duplicates aren't generic placeholders. They're shaped the way real entities actually drift in production: nicknames instead of formal first names, transposed digits in a phone number, an address written two different ways across two source systems.

Fill out the request form with a couple of lines on your domain: B2C customer data, patient records, supplier master, whatever you're validating against. Delivery is asynchronous, no call required, and arrives within 3 business days. There's no procurement step and nothing to install. You tell us a little about your domain, we build the dataset from our existing synthetic generators, and it lands wherever you asked us to send it.

Synthetic data, no real PII: Synthetic data notice. Every dataset and truth key in this sample is synthetically generated. It contains no real personal data and no real PII.. Sample requests and any records you send us are staff-only: We collect this information to prepare and deliver your Match-Ready Sample and to follow up about your MDM go-live work. It is visible only to our staff and is never included in any public or unauthenticated response.. Both statements apply to every Match-Ready Sample we send, regardless of your domain or industry.

Once you've compared the dataset against your own match rules, you'll have a rough sense of where they hold up and where they don't. If you want a scored number and a call to walk through it, the Match Precision Audit is the next step. If you're already heading into a gate review, the Match Rule Validation page covers the full outcome. There's no pressure to decide immediately, and no follow-up call scheduled unless you ask for one. Even if you never book anything further, you'll have a real look at your domain's duplicate patterns.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Match-Ready Sample include?

A domain-shaped Labeled Ground-Truth Dataset with known fuzzy duplicates, plus a Known-Duplicate Pair File that serves as the answer key. Both are built to match how your entities actually drift, not generic test rows. Run your current match rules against them to see what your rules catch and what slips through, before you commit to anything paid.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery is asynchronous and arrives within 3 business days of your request. There's no call to schedule and nothing to install first; the dataset and the Known-Duplicate Pair File land wherever you asked us to send them. If you need it for a specific deadline, mention that in your request and we'll do what we can.

Is any real customer data used to build the sample?

No. Datasets and truth keys in the Match-Ready Sample come from our synthetic generators, built to mimic how your domain's entities typically drift, not from any customer file. The specific data-safety statement is Synthetic data notice. Every dataset and truth key in this sample is synthetically generated. It contains no real personal data and no real PII.. This applies to every Sample, regardless of domain.

Do we have to talk to sales to get the sample?

No. The Sample is self-serve. Fill out the request form with a couple of lines about your domain and it's delivered within 3 business days, no call required. Talking to someone only comes into play later, if you decide to book the Match Precision Audit or start a conversation about the full Match Rule Validation.

What happens after we review the sample?

That's your call. The Sample gives you a labeled dataset and an answer key, so you can run your current rules against it and sort the results into true positives, false positives, and false negatives. If you want a scored number and a working session, that's the Match Precision Audit; if you're heading into a gate review, that's Match Rule Validation. Nothing about requesting the Sample commits you to either.
